The Marlboro Township School District offers a full-day integrated preschool program for three- and four-year olds who are residents of Marlboro. The program is designed to bring preschoolers, with and without special needs, together in an integrated environment. Research has shown that all students benefit from this type of program. Please note, children must be fully toilet trained by the first day of school and be fluent in English.

Sessions are held five days per week at the David C. Abbott Early Learning Center. The hours are 9:30 am - 3:30 pm. All preschool students will now be eligible for transportation, including those entering the program through the lottery process.

Enrollment is open to a limited number of preschool students without special needs, who are selected via a lottery process. All students will be chosen and numbered in the order of the lottery selection. Based on the number of openings, children who qualify are offered enrollment in the program. The remaining qualified children are placed on a waiting list. Children who were selected for the three-year-old program this past year will be given priority to attend in next year’s four-year-old program.

The lottery drawing will be held at the David C. Abbott Early Learning Center on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 2:00 pm. To qualify, students who have attained the age of three-years-old on or before September 1, 2026 and have not met the age requirement to enter kindergarten are eligible.

Tuition Information

Tuition for the 2026-2027 program is $10,000 for the year. If placement is offered and accepted, parents/guardians are responsible for a $2,000 non-refundable deposit, as well as four additional tuition payments of $2,000.

Parents may choose to make one payment for the entire cost or pay the tuition in installments based on a payment schedule.

Payments should be made by check, payable to the Marlboro Township Board of Education, and sent to Mrs. Chris Jelinsky, Marlboro Township Board of Education, 1980 Township Drive, Marlboro, NJ 07746.

Important Dates Friday, March 27th - Applications must be received no later than 4:00 pm in order to be included in the lottery drawing Thursday, April 9th - Lottery Drawing held at 2:00 pm at the David C. Abbott Early Learning Center, 171 Tennent Road, Morganville. Friday, April 17th - Parent notification of lottery number assignment. Monday-Friday, May 4th-May 8th - Preschool Screening  Friday, May 22nd - Parent letters are sent with notification of results. Friday, May 29th - Deadline for initial deposit and completed registration.
