Future of Excellence
Through a grant from the Marlboro Educational Foundation, fifth grade students from Frank Defino Central Elementary School were provided with the costumes they needed to perform in High School Musical. This special opportunity allowed students to be part of a larger production, build confidence, and experience the excitement of performing on stage.
Students at Marlboro Elementary School participated in Latin Rhythms, an engaging hands-on percussion program presented by Young Audiences Arts for Learning NJ & Eastern PA and made possible through a grant from the Marlboro Educational Foundation Through ensemble music-making, students explored the foundational rhythms of Latin America while building creativity, collaboration, and cultural awareness. 
Through a grant from Marlboro Educational Foundation, students at Dugan Elementary School participated in an engaging Mad Science program that brought science to life through live demonstrations and hands-on learning. Opportunities like this extend learning beyond the classroom, spark curiosity, and create memorable experiences for our students. These are the kinds of experiences that reflect the Future of Excellence across MTPS.
Supported by a grant from the Marlboro Educational Foundation, our kindergarten students at Marlboro Elementary School enjoyed a hands-on lesson in planting flowers. Students learned about the parts of a flower, what plants need to survive, and used math skills to measure planting depth, spacing, and growth. This memorable experience brought science and math to life through active learning.
Kindergarten students at Asher Holmes Elementary School participated in a hands-on science experience made possible through a grant from the Marlboro Educational Foundation. Presented by Mad Science, the program gave students an engaging opportunity to explore scientific concepts through interactive learning and discovery.
Students at Marlboro Elementary School participated in a hands-on Fossil Dig experience made possible through a grant from the Marlboro Educational Foundation. Presented by the Pearl Observatory, the program gave students an engaging opportunity to search for shark teeth and other ancient finds while exploring earth science through discovery-based learning.
Students at Frank J. Dugan Elementary School recently participated in a Living Voices assembly about Anne Frank, made possible through a grant from the Marlboro Educational Foundation. Through live performance, audio, video, visual aids, and discussion, the program gave students an engaging way to connect with history. Students asked thoughtful questions and deepened their understanding of Anne Frank’s story.
