Libary Media Center

The library media program embodies the district's philosophy of developing and enhancing critical thinking skills through the use of print, multimedia, and technological resources. Students are encouraged to become lifelong learners by fostering recreational reading and providing instruction in research skills that will be useful to them throughout their lifetime.

The library media program is an integral part of the total educational program. Students learn the basic processing skills necessary to connect concepts and information in all disciplines and interest areas.

As a result of the library media program, students will be able to locate, select and retrieve print and non-print materials, evaluate information effectively, and access technological resources independently. Keyboarding skills are introduced to all students in the primary grades. Students are also introduced to coding in all elementary schools.
