Science education in Marlboro provides students with the experiences that make them aware of the impact science, engineering, and technology has on themselves and their world. It assures that students develop an understanding of the concepts and processes of science through inquiry, activity, engineering, design, and experimentation. In grades kindergarten through five, the emphasis is placed on concrete concept development through subject areas of physical, life, and earth sciences. In grades six, seven, and eight an emphasis is placed on one area of science, Earth, life, and physical science, respectively. Engineering is also integrated in all areas by way of grade-specific design challenges.
